Church “St. George the Victorious” in Dupnitsa

The craftsman Sava Dzhambazki started the building of it in 1888. It was finished in 1895 and consecrated on 10th of September by the Metropolitan Dositej of Samokov. The narthex above the main entrance is painted St. George the Victorious. In the main entrance are three proskynetaria. On the iconostasis are put twelve big icons (2x1m) made in Kiev that are extremely rare in size in Bulgaria.
