The District house

It is located next to the Mosque and the Stone Bridge. It was built during the Renaissance. It was used as konak (town-hall) - an administrative building of the Turkish government. After the Renaissance, it was bought and it belonged to Yanaki Bisserov- the District, from where the name comes. His son Dimitar Bisserov- the district, is a famous Renaissance activist, founder of the community center in Dupnitsa. It was renovated in 1982- 1984 for an ethnographic museum, but it was never made. Later on, it was provided for the needs of the district gallery. In it are presented the fund of paintings and visiting exhibitions in the form of temporary exhibits.
