It is a symbol of the city of Dupnitsa. It was built in 1782. First was built as a bey battle tower for guarding and surveillance of the hill above the city in the western part of today's city garden. There are four loopholes for defense. The tower was adapted for the clock tower in the last decade of XVIII (1790- 1800) by order from the Dupnitsa Ayan Suleiman- Karagaliyata. In 1993, the drive of the clock was fundamentally redesigned according to new technologies.
